I have attempted to focus the concept of my research into the idea of "Utilitarian Travel". I looked at various forms of utiltiarian luggage and personal accessories from diffrent time periods and diffrent functional stand points. Military bags were a big focus as was luggage because they are spacifically designed for utility and for storage of personal belongings. They often have many diffrent pockets, plackets, and various diffrent closures to the accessory. I also liked the idea of stencil or embossing in the military style font. Other designers like YSL have done similar things in there collections.
